South Carolina Bound

The drive through the Carolina’s was just spectacular so why I didn’t take more pictures is beyond me. It’s because I simply can’t capture it all 😊 One

The friends I am visiting in South Carolina we had met in Upstate New York at a business networking group. We had only spent a few other short visits together but connected. You know that connection where you just like these people, so therefor we had kept in touch. We also have like minds as entrepreneurs and believers, so I was really looking forward to seeing them.

When I arrived, I needed to quickly hop on a zoom call for a very short meeting, so it was hi and I’ll be right with you. (how rude is that). After the call we talked and talked. Since I was there early in the day and was only planning on being there a few days we went out to lake that day.

One way to have use of a boat is to be a part of a boat club. I personally like that idea because there is no fuss, no maintenance needed, no hauling boat back and forth etc. You simply make sure they have a boat and then you just show up at the marina and hop on the boat they have reserved for you. You also have use of the club in other locations so this is really amazing, the boat club is called Freedom Boat Club.

So any whoo, we headed out to the marina and had a wonderful time on the lake touring around. I learned a lot about the lake and the area and we scoped out some campsites from the boat. Afterwards we did a short tour of the town and surrounding area. Then we had dinner in town at a really good Mexican restaurant that had a salsa bar. It was a great first day and couldn’t wait for the next day!!
