Psalm 119:9-11 How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Matthew 4:1-11 (Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness) Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. Genesis 3:1 (The Fall) Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

- Set aside 15 minutes each day to memorize scripture.
- Choose verses that resonate with you or add to your weakness.
- Read the passage out loud over and over again.
- Break the verse down into logical parts.
- Repeat the reference often.
- It’s better to learn a few verses really well, than many poorly.
- Underline and look up difficult words to remember.
- Write out the verse from memory
