LISTEN TO TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL
THREE STEPS TO DISCOVERING YOUR VALUES
- Go to the main source; the creator of us and our values
- Spend time reflecting on the lives that you admire
- Think back to when you were the happiest
PERSONAL APPLICATION EXERCISES
- Write down some reflections from your memorial service (listen to today’s message for more details)
- What do you truly value in life? List your values in any orders as they come to your mind. At this point don’t make any distinctions whether you life is in alignment with these values; simply write them down.
- Select the top five values on your list and then put them in priority order.
- Now for the reality check; are your values currently in align with your life today? Prioritize what you value RIGHT NOW, list the top five. This is an honesty check on where you currently are spending your time, resources, and energy.
- Now compare the list you made in step number three and compare it to the list in step number four. What actions can you take to be more in alignment with what you truly value?
